John Quello
Financial Advisor, Raymond James
Throughout a distinguished financial career that spans over four decades, John has been dedicated to helping families and individuals build a better financial future with the prudent planning and investment advice he provides. His favorite specialty is helping his clients plan for the efficient transition of their assets to their family and favorite charities.
John began his career in 1979 and moved to Loft Advisors, a division of First Dakota National Bank, in 2013. John thoroughly enjoys working in partnership with his son, Nathan, which they have done for more than 20 years.
John is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) parishes in Minneapolis and Rochester, Minnesota, for 10 years. He was a founding member of Luther Theological Seminary’s foundation and has served a combined 22 years on the board of regents for Augustana University and Concordia College.
John is active in various Sioux Falls community activities and has served for over 35 years as the president of the Sheldon F. Reese Foundation. He and his wife, Eileen, are past award recipients of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation “Friends of the Foundation,”* which is awarded annually to one person or couple.
In their free time, John and Eileen love to travel. They have visited all 50 states, more than 50 countries and are still counting. Antarctica is the only missing continent from their travels – and, understandably, it is not on their bucket list. For their 40th anniversary, John and Eileen enjoyed a 40-day “round-the-world” tour.
The Quellos enjoy family time at their lake home in Minnesota. Their five granddaughters and one grandson have added great joy to their lives.
